My grandson had his 6th birthday party here. It was an amazing time they made their own pizzas and had great fun. The staff were amazing and really child friendly. I had my lunch there and the food was really good and very affordable. Great place

Stumbled upon this restaurant as a last resort but it was booked until 8 so we made reservation for the following night. Glad we did. Food and service were perfect. Too bad we’re leaving tomorrow. Could’ve eaten here every night.

Dinner in a downstairs booth, fully booked first night here booked for next night. Got harbour views but upstairs better. Food was fresh and delicious. My seafood dish was stunning. Dessert was delicious too. If in Orkney I highly recommend but be sure to book and get an upstairs table.

Lunch at a harbour side window upstairs was delightful on this gorgeous spring day. The staff were friendly and attentive and the meals were first class. My tofu and chickpea salad hit the spot. The local gin and ginger beer drink was a great accompaniment (although a wee but pricey) as were the side order of sweet potato chips (not pricey at all). Thanks for a great meal on our last day in the Orkney Isles!

Very nice meal. Clean if slightly dated interior but decent food and friendly service nonetheless. Recommend.

Had the chicken madras (my usual dish from my local curry house, so was used to the heat). These guys took it to another level. Not only was it tangy, but a lot hotter than my local, so just be aware if you order spicy, you get spicy. Staff were attentive, and on the ball, and next time I'm back in Orkney I definitely getting another curry.

Our family group visited tonight as they do a Wednesday Special menu. Nine of the group had the Special consisting of starter, main and side for under £12. The service was quick and the food was piping hot. For some of the group this was the best Indian food they had ever tasted. At times the restaurant was full so I would suggest advance booking particularly on a Wednesday night. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Very nice staff and restaurant. Nice dinner atmosphere. Food was tasty just sweeter than we are used. Great portion sizes. No alcohol served. Was hungry so pictures after eating.

Delicious food, great price and friendly staff. Loved the decor and attention to detail. My pasta was so tasty and hubby loved the haddock.

We were a party of 20 and had an excellent 3 course meal last night with superb vegetables and a good selection of wines. The staff were brilliant.

Lovely restaurant. 2 evening sittings so aim for early- from 5.30 or late- from 7pm. Perfect service. Food was delicious, the crab tart and haddock risotto (?) were impressive. Not a cheap meal out but definitely worth the little extra simply for the overall quality.

We had a family meal there while staying near by in Scapa. I thought the choice of options was great and the food tasted even better, the portions were huge so go in with an empty belly. I would heartily recommend but it's pricey.

Great distillery tour with Viking heritage (great shout out to our tour guide Charlie - she was the absolute best). Highly recommended. If you drive ask for the driver's kit for 4£ in advance.

Good tour but it was the 'silent' season so no moving or working parts. A lot of people going through and lucky to get a spot due to a cancellation. Good to see a traditional distillery.

The Willows is my favourite Fish n Chips in Orkney. Actually it's more than just Fish n Chips as it does Chinese food as well. I was curious to see how they compared to Mainland takeaways. The chips looked and tasted great, but the real test for me was the white pudding, which I had last night. The verdict? Every bit as good as Edinburgh's finest. The staff were polite and friendly and the place was spotless, looks like I'll be a regular.

Went there yesterday as my cruise ship I work for was docked there. I asked a local guide for a recommendation for a chip shop and she mentioned a few and but this was “where the locals go”. So yes, I took the 5 min walk from the main shopping street to go there. It is well worth it! Tiny place in the back of a flat . For £6.50 I got a HUGE fish and chips! They also sell other fried stuff and Chinese food. Well worth it if you want fish and chips. **Just be patient as everything is cooked to order and served fresh!**

Batter ti greasy

Very popular and, hence, very busy at times. Can be waits of up to 45 minutes for placing and receiving orders.Vegetable oil used throughout, which for the purist is just wrong, but very tasty despite.

Great fish and chips, reasonable prices, friendly staff, what more could you ask for really.

Nice wee place, table service inside, great staff, happy to answer questions and queries, reasonably priced food and drinks

Good sandwiches, tea and coffee. A proper café. Should have tried the clootie dumpling! Another reason to go back to Orkney.
