Brilliant bunch of folk and great banter, the Gardening Unit is well worth checking out if you are thinking about plants/shrubs/vegetable plants for your garden. Whilst 'Blidehoose' in Victoria St provides support services for people with life issues and mental health issues, There's also an excellent Cafe and Kitchen which provides low cost daily meals and does outside catering.

Their cafe is brilliant. The staff are wonderful. Most of the time it is a spacious and quiet place to enjoy a coffee. Saturdays are usually busy though. The food there is great. The salads in a tortilla basket are certainly worth a try but in my mind the full breakfast is the best in Orkney, and it's a fantastic deal. The exercise facilities, climbing wall, pool, racket Sports, and various exercise classes are all top notch and it is a great place to get fit or hang out at the health suite. I'm probably biased because I spend loads of time here but it's a fantastic place.
Regular user of pool/heath suite, ocassional cinema user, ocassional user of other facilities, used cafe once or twice. Staff generally helpful. Pool clean, changing rooms cleaner than lots I've seen. Family friendly. Adequate parking though gets busy if big event on. Good location.

The OHAL building is easy to get to. You can access it's non-wheelchair accessible entrance from Victoria Street or the wheelchair accessible entrance from Junction Road. All the staff in there are very helpful and friendly. There are large ground floor interview rooms.

I have always used Flett & Carmichael for both my dogs and my cat. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, giving excellent advice. The treatment my animals have received has always been very good and the vets and nurses have handled them very well and with care, especially with my wee Staffy who hates having her feet touched so nail cutting not easy!! They always manage very well. I highly recommend for any animal.

Great distillery tour with Viking heritage (great shout out to our tour guide Charlie - she was the absolute best). Highly recommended. If you drive ask for the driver's kit for 4£ in advance.
Good tour but it was the 'silent' season so no moving or working parts. A lot of people going through and lucky to get a spot due to a cancellation. Good to see a traditional distillery.

Very impressive cathedral with much to see inside. Entrance is free but you can leave a donation, I bought a guide book at £3.50 and that helped me identify what I wanted to see. The cathedral was very busy with tourists who have little or no respect of where they are. I enjoyed my visit despite them and I listened to a lady giving some of the history associated with the place. I was very pleased to see a Norwegian Bible on display.
Historically fascinating cathedral unlike any other I have visited in quite a while. It's reasonably accessible, for the most part, and there are information leaflets you and read whilst walking around (technically free though donations requested and appreciated) to inform you about the different parts of the structure. A must-do if you're spending any time at all in the only city on Orkney.
